Aimée gave him a small smile, and she squeezed his hand. "I'm sure that I can change his views on you. Maybe it was just because you were dating Mackenzie at the time," she said to him as she thought about it. He probably saw Mackenzie as a daughter, and a guy walking up with the stench of cigarette some would raise a red flag.
Noah smiled, and he rolled his eyes at what she said. "I apologize. How are you? You are looking beautiful tonight," he said, and he listened to her as she explained what happened to her friend. "Wow, that's worse than my friends," he said with a small laugh, and he hesitantly put his arm behind he couch and around her, trying to make it look like he was just getting comfortable. "Oh, I was just wondering. You looked pretty lonely," he told her, and he smiled lightly. "Can't have you being lonely at a party, now can we?" he asked her, raising a brow.
