Ann gave him an innocent smile and murmured, "I didn't do anything, Dimitri." She was just telling him what he wanted to hear. Besides, it wasn't technically a lie if he told her to tell him that she didn't do anything. Ann was smarter than she let on. "Go ahead, scream at me and tell me that I am a failure of a father," he muttered to Ann. Instead of her answering, she just trudged up the stairs quietly.
