Apollo looked down at her when she talked about Dayton, and he rolled his eyes. "It may have been all me, but I like it better when we cook together. You keep me from getting myself killed," he said with a small laugh, and he took anther bite of the dessert before kissing her head. He held her close for a moment or two, and he closed his eyes contently.

Aspen was silent for the first few moment, and he looked down at her, smiling a bit to himself. She looked beautiful, stunning. The most amazing woman he had ever met. He snapped out of his daze, and he quickly started to follow her to his car. "Sorry if we don't go to some big, fancy dinner. I don't have that kind of money."

Willow took a bite of the dessert and listened to him, cracking a smile at that. "Yeah, that is true," she agreed with a small laugh. She sent him a small smile but then yawned. "I'm tired, Pollo," she murmured, rubbing her eyes. Maybe now was a good time to get some sleep. The last of her energy had drained out of her.

Ann trailed after him, locking her door behind her. "That's fine," she murmured as she glanced over at him. She still was planning to keep her distance, because she didn't quite know what side he was playing for. She climbed into the car and buckled up. "Where are we going, might I ask?"

Apollo smiled when she said that she was tired, and he kissed her head. "Go on to bed, I'll clean everything up," he said, and he stood to start put everything up, but then he paused, and a smirk grew on his face. He laughed before picking up Willow, spinning her around. "Or I can tuck you in."

Aspen looked down at her for a moment before he started to drive. He smiled a little when she asked where they were going. "But that would ruin the surprise," he said. He came to the park, and he parked. On the side, there was a blanket, and from the back seat, he pulled out some food. "Okay, so maybe takeout isn't the most romaic thing, but it was either that or cooking Ramen noodles," he said.

Willow let out another yawn and nodded, about to head that way. However, when he picked her up, she let out a yelp of surprise. She giggled but it was muffled by a second yawn. "Tuck me in?" she repeated, shaking her head. She smiled lightly and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Okay, if you say so, Pollo," she mumbled tiredly.

Ann arched a brow at that one. "Since when were you one for surprises?" she inquired. Then again, she barely knew Aspen Ledger at all. She knew he was bad news. However, she wasn't sure if that was his own characteristic. Maybe he was a good guy deep down. Once they reached the park, she climbed out and laughed at that. "Well, you better be glad that you chose this. I hate Ramen noodles," she replied but smiled to show she was merely kidding.

Apollo smiled brightly when she let him tuck her in, and he started to race to the room that they were sharing. "Alright, let's go to it," he said with a bright smile, and he placed her in the bed. He took the sheet, and he places them over her before sitting down beside her and kissing her head. "Can I read you a bed time story?" he asked.

Aspen smiled, and he rolled his eyes. "You are insane," he said, but he gave her a crooked smile. He took the bag of food over to the blanket, and he handed her her food. "So, I have everything just like you liked it in high school. I hope you haven't changed all that much," he said with a small smile, and he started to give her her drink as well.

Willow was struggling to suppress her yawns. It seemed that waking up early had its drawbacks. She rubbed her eyes and lied back in bed. "What story?" she inquired with a wry smile. Despite herself, she grew excited. When she was younger, Tyson would often be forced to babysit her because her mom worked long hours. When it was bedtime, he would always tell her stories. It brought a sense of home back into her life.

"I will just take that as a compliment," Ann replied with a half smile. She took the food and the drink once he handed it to her. "You payed that much attention to me?" she asked curiously. Just because Dimitri had commented on Aspen watching her throughout the years, she didn't think he payed that much attention.

Apollo thought for a moment, and he smiled when he came up with a story he knew she would like. "When I was twelve, my mom was sick, and she wanted to tent a movie, so she any me off with some money to go rent one. I may have owed a few guys some money, so I gave them the money, and I might have stolen the movie. Of course, it was a chick flick, and when I was caught, the cops knew me very well by then. I begged and pleaded him not to tell anyone what I stole. I guess he felt pity for my mom and paid for the movie."

Aspen smiled, and he nodded. "Of course. I paid very close attention to a lot of people, Annie. That was the best part about being quiet. People guess that you don't listen, but I heard everything," he said. He smiled before taking his drink and taking a sip. He paid more attention to Ann than anyone else, but he didn't voice that.

Willow's eyes drooped, but she blinked them so that she could focus on Apollo once more. As he told the movie, she tilted her head and half smiled. "Why am I not surprised?" she whispered, stifling another yawn as she cuddled under the covers. "I just can't believe that you chose a chick flick," she murmured, giggling as she settled into bed.

Ann frowned slightly when he called her Annie. She disliked the name. She had for as long as she could remember. She detested it, even. She took a bite of her food and half smiled. It wasn't half bad. "I guess you have a point," she murmured with a light shrug of her shoulders.

Apollo looked down at her, and he couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "I thought that was what she liked. I mean, most girls like that, right?" he asked her with a small laugh, and he kissed her softly. He looked into her eyes, and he took her hand, holding her close to him as he waited for her to fall asleep. He could see that she was beginning to drift off

Aspen looked down at her, and he paused for a moment or two to take in her beauty. He took a bite of the burger, and he nodded in agreement. "It really is. Maybe not the best thing that could have been picked, but it's pretty good," he said, and he thought of a few things to ask. "So, what exactly do you do in nursing school?" he asked curiously.

Ann took another bite of her food and had to wait a moment before she could answer the question. After a long drink, she replied with, "I learn a lot about being a nurse, and most of the learning is tedious, but when we get to do on hands stuff, like CPR and everything, it is really interesting," she began. "Some of the classes aren't that bad either. I don't know. I guess I just like it," she said, shrugging. She then murmured, "What about you? I mean, I know you said that you wanted to be a cop but.."

Aspen nodded as he listened to her. He didn't really understand how she could love all that. She wasn't the same Ann from high school. She probably wouldn't go to those wild parties anymore. When she mentioned the law enforcement, he surged. "Sent my application n and saw my record. They told me they didn't need criminals as police. Plus your dad saw me and kind of shot down ant sliver of a chance I had. I probably wouldn't have been good anyway. I'll just do whatever pays the bills," he said.

{hmm...Pollo's birthday or...oooo, what if we timeskip when he tells the family that is he planning to propose and asks for permission and blah blah blah, and I thought it would be kind of cute for Pollo and Day to have a little bonding experience when they go to pick out a ring for her. But idk what do you think?

Ann nodded slowly as he explained everything. She chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully. She then thought back to when he said criminal. "Wait, wait, wait, criminal?" she repeated. Sure, this was no new news to her, but she was surprised he would even admit that much. She was so taken aback that it took her a moment to even process everything.

Apollo looked at the time, and he took a deep breath. He knew that Willow would be gone shopping with her mother, so he was going to take his chance. He walked in to her house, and he bit his lip nervously. "Mr. Walker, I need to speak with you," he said, and he glanced over. Of course Dayton just had to be there. He one guy he was actually scared of. Well, he took that bad. Mr. Walker was pretty scary too."

Aspen sighed, and he shook his head. "I didn't tell them everything I did. They knew me already," he said with a sigh, and he ran a hand through his hair before he started to eat his burger again. He wanted a job so badly, but with his record, he couldn't seem to get one. His blood ran cold when he heard a voice behind him. "Your records? I know those quest well, Aspen Ledger," a woman about their age said.

When Apollo walked in, Dayton lifted his head and rose his brows when he saw him. It wasn't rocket science. Pretty much everyone knew that Dayton detested the guy. He wasn't sure what exactly it was, but something just put him....off. He stood and walked over, arching his brows. "Have to talk to Mr. Walker, huh?" he inquired, mocking him.

Ann was about to take another bite of her burger when someone spoke. She frowned and looked up at the woman. "Excuse me," she began, placing her sandwich in the to-go box. "As you can see we are a little busy here," she muttered, but then glanced at Aspen. "What is she talking about, Aspen?" She had a bad feeling about all of this.

Apollo groaned as he heard Dayton. Why did it have to be him if all people? "Yeah, I do. It's sort of an important subject pertaining to Willow," he said. Hopefully Dayton wasn't catching on, and hopefully he wasn't getting curiously. He needed need him ruining his chances at being with her. He loved Willow too much, and he was finally getting the courage to do it.

Aspen shook his head at the girl. "It's nothing, don't listen to her," he said to Ann. The girl rolled her eyes, and she looked at Ann. "I would run far away if I were you. He's playing you like a fiddle," she said, and she then turned to Aspen. "So, I heard you say you were looking for a job. Did you tell her about how you are getting your money now? Did you tell her about the bank, or maybe the convenient store down the road," he said with a smirk.

"Pertaining to Willow," Dayton muttered, snorting as he did so. "You know, I barely graduated high school, so you are going to have to not talk like a businessman for at least five minutes," he began as he crossed his arms over his chest. "And what is it about Willow? I swear if you break up with her and break her heart, I will break your face."

Ann frowned in confusion. None of this was making any sense, and the more she talked the more Ann realized that she may be right. "You know," she began as she stood up. "I knew something was fishy about you, Aspen," she muttered. "And I should have just kept my distance," she continued. She knew Aspen was bad news, but she hadn't realized how bad until then. Maybe his charming good looks had momentarily blinded her better judgement.

Apollo knew that he would more than likely actually break his face, and he quickly shook his head. "It is the complete opposite, actually. I want to propose to her," he said, and he rubbed the back of his neck, hoping that maybe he wouldn't try to kill him for wanting to take Willow away from him more than he already had.

Aspen shook his head, and he stood with Ann. "Please, don't go," he said, but it was no use. He felt as if his past was some hole that he could never climb out of. He was stuck down there forever, and each failure was just making it worse and worse. He didn't even know why he even tried to be with Ann. It was a stupid idea.

"Well, listen here buddy... I will-" Dayton began but cut himself off. "Wait, propose?" he muttered, sputtering all the while. "You are kidding, right? One trip to Paris and then you want to...okay, all right. I have a few questions for you, then," he muttered as he sat on the arm of the couch.

Ann shook her head and sighed. "No, Aspen. I can't do this, okay?" she muttered as she glanced back at him. She turned and headed off but glanced back to mutter, "And I know what you did to the Flash. I have no reason to trust you." With that, she rushed off before she could change her mind.

Apollo bit his lip nervously, and his eyes went wide when he heard him. He wanted to ask him questions? That was a death sentence! He sighed before sitting down and looking over at him. "Okay, ask away," he said, even though he was terrified of whatever he was going to ask him. he knew that he would find some reason to punch him.

Aspen looked towards the ground, and he closed his eyes. "So much for the flowers I got," he whispered, and he looked over at the girl that gave everything away, but she was gone too. He was all alone. he sighed before getting back into his car, slamming the door. "I should have never trusted myself."

Dayton watched him carefully. He wasn't going to take any chances, especially since he wanted nothing more than a reason that Apollo shouldn't be with Willow. "Do you love her? I mean, really, truly love her? Because I know what it's like to play women, and she is not going to be played. Not on my watch," he stated.

Apollo nodded vigorously when he asked him the question. "Yes, of course I love her. I truly, deeply love her," he said, and he watched him for a moment. He knew that he didn't trust him one bit, but he wanted nothing more than for Willow to be his wife. She made him the happiest man in the world.

Dayton paused to think this over before he returned his attention to Apollo. He paused before he stated, "I expect nothing but the best for her. So, I am going to warn you one last time...if you hurt her...you will be sorry." He paused another second before he stood. "Come on," he stated, already heading for the front door.

Apollo bit his lip nervously, and he nodded. "I know. If I break her heart you break my entire body. We had this conversation," he said, and he was a bit surprised when he got up. "Wait, where are we going? You aren't taking me for a lie detector test, right?" he asked him. Did he really not trust him that much? Actually, it made sense.

Dayton pulled out his keys and opened the door. "Lie detector test?" he repeated, shaking his head. "No, but that would be a good idea," he answered as he unlocked his car. "You can't ask Willow to marry you without a ring, and I am sure as hell not letting you go alone to get a ring. You probably don't know what to even get her."

Apollo thought abut his word, and he knew that he was right. The closest thing he had to a ring to give her was a ring pop he had bought at one of the airports. Actually, it did sound like something he would propose with. Maybe it would work. He followed Dayton, and he tried not to look as offended as he was. "What is that supposed to mean?" he asked him, waiting him for a moment.

Dimitri looked at Lindi in the car. Neither of them were dressed like they were going to go eat at the place he told Ann. That might be because he set her up a date, and him and Lindi were going t order pizza when they got to Dimitri's apartment. He sent Ann a text, telling her that they were out there and waiting on her.
