John glanced over at her with a smile when she came over and sat down beside her. He was in the middle of pulling out his laptop when he heard her. He already knew what was coming. He said, and he looked down at the ground. "It's fine Livia, really. Don't apologize." His hate for Brandon began to grow. He knew it was him! Who else could it be?

Livia instantly felt bad. She knew she shouldn't stand up her best friend for Brandon. Yet, she couldn't help but want to get to know Brandon. Maybe he wasn't as he seemed. Maybe he was better than most of the preps. "Can we just postpone it until tomorrow? I will make it up to you, I promise," she said before she dropped her voice to a whisper. "I will even teach you how to write."

John was starting on his work, but he paused when he heard Livia. Along with being one of the most stubborn people he knew, she was also the most persuasive. Or that was just because he liked her a lot. "Alright, tomorrow it is, and you better hold up to your word," he said with a small smirk before he started to work on his work. Maybe he wasn't in last place after all. He had a chance.

Livia grinned when John agreed. She smiled lightly as she pulled out her laptop. "Great. It's a date," she stated and laughed softly as she began to start her work. She was glad she got away with not hurting anyone's feelings. She would feel pretty guilty about that. She couldn't help but think about Brandon and what he might have planned. Maybe she should just give him a chance.

John smiled to himself, and he nodded. "It's a date," he repeated, and he looked down at his computer as he started on his work. He was thinking of all the things that he would see, but he was also wondering why they couldn't do it. She probably didn't want him to ask, and he didn't really want to know. Okay, that was a lie. He really wanted to know.
